Afro-Brit Centre for International Development is determined to help students undertaking their studies at all levels to launch many careers upon completion. From Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Bachelor’s to Masters Degree programmes, Afro-Brit is conscious of the fact that the career and employability the students and how their performance will be mirrored in the field will mean a lot to the future of our programmes. Thus, Afro-Brit will provide students with the background knowledge needed to work in development-related fields. Our programmes have thus been designed to ensure students graduate with the research and professional skills they need to pursue premium international development careers. Students will also gain a critical social science approach that provides preparation for graduate and doctoral studies and proves valuable in various professions within government agencies, private firms and NGOs.
Afro-Brit CID will support students at each stage of their career journey helping them build a bright future. Our employability and career support services include:
- Employability workshops, employers’ talks, bespoke events and careers fairs
- Individual advice and guidance from professionally qualified Careers Advisers
- Help with finding jobs, internships, work placements and volunteering opportunities
- Access to information resources on a wide range of career management topics
