The objectives of the ICM Level 5 Diploma in Commercial and Project Management are to:

  • Provide a qualification in commercial and project management that combines subject knowledge, understanding and applied knowledge that is essential for the Learner’s career advancement.
  • Equip Learners with knowledge and understanding in logistic operations, project management and project and risk analysis necessary to achieve in the business environment.
  • To provide an applied balance between employment opportunities and the knowledge essential for the Learner’s career advancement or academic aspirations.
  • To provide opportunities for Learners to develop their knowledge, understanding and personal attributes essential for successful working lives within the business industry.

This Diploma programme in Business Studies will run for a period of six months

This is a four module programme comprised of commercial management, project management, risk management and logistics and supply chain management. For the module on Commercial Management, students will be introduced to the concept of Commercial Awareness, Contracting, Commercial Relationships and Negotiation.

The Project Management module will encompass a review of Projects in Contemporary Organisations, Strategic Management and Project Selection, an examination of the qualities of the Project Manager, Project Organisation, Project Planning, Conflict and Negotiation, Scheduling and Resource Allocation, Monitoring and Information Systems, Project Control, Project Auditing, and Project Termination. The Risk Management module will include and Introduction to Risk Management, Risk Strategy, Risk Assessment, Risk and Organisations, Risk Response and Risk Assurance and Reporting.

Finally, the module on logistics and supply chain management will comprise of an introduction to Logistics and the Supply Chain, Customer service as a link between logistics and marketing, Value and Logistics Costs, Managing Logistics Internationally, Managing the Lead Time Frontier, Just-In-Time and Lean Thinking, The Agile Supply Chain, Managing the Supply Chain, Partnerships in the Supply Chain, and Logistics Future Challenge.
