The BSc Development Finance program at Afro-Brit Centre for International Development will run for 3 years for full time and 4years for part time students.
The program is structured into six semesters, with each semester comprising a series of core and elective courses. Students will have the opportunity to specialize in areas such as microfinance, sustainable development finance, or international development finance. For the three years, students will be exposed to and critically engage in:
- Financial Management: Developing proficiency in financial planning, budgeting, and investment analysis.
- Development Economics: Understanding the economic challenges facing developing countries and explore strategies for inclusive growth.
- International Finance: Gaining insights into global financial markets, exchange rates, and international development finance institutions.
- Microfinance and Inclusive Finance: Exploring innovative financial solutions for marginalized communities and promote financial inclusion.
- Sustainable Development Finance: Analysing the role of finance in addressing environmental and social sustainability issues.
In terms of career development, students will be able to stand out within the development landscape in Cameroon, Africa and beyond as Development Finance Officers, Microfinance Officers Investment Analysts, Project Managers (Development Sector) and Financial Consultants (Development Focus).
